Like many, I love the winter months because they cause us to slow down and rest. We are able to retreat with the intention of showing up in the spring refreshed and renewed.

Over the next few months, our family schedule is quiet with all trips canceled and minimal activities. This is allowing me the time and energy to tap into my creative side in an effort to craft a program that has been in my head for over a year.

My Strong, Mindful, Feisty Females Over 40 Program is coming to fruition this Spring. It is designed to educate women in their 40’s and 50’s on the importance of strength training, nutrition, practicing mindfulness and meditation during our perimenopausal and menopausal years.

Part of the work includes a little self-exploration and reflection. Presently, I am reflecting on my relationship with my body. I have always been hard on myself and very critical. In the last year, there have been so many changes to my body and it all came overnight. It could all be easily blamed on Covid but sadly, I know and have been told by doctors that perimenopause is kicking into high gear. It is a whole lot of fun.

Most of my personal training clients are in their 40’s and 50’s and like me, they are experiencing the effects of this time of life too.

Over the last 18 months, I have been researching how to best take care of ourselves during this time. It has been so much fun and very eye-opening. The research has also helped me to understand that I am not alone.

When this program is done being crafted, it will be such a pleasure to share what I have learned with other women my age.

Stay tuned for more information. Over the next several weeks, there will be lots of lessons learned and fun stories to share. Sending love and calming wishes to all. XO
