Sundays with Stephanie- Good Vibrations

Happy Sunday. This week started off with a bang, but had a rapid decline due to just feeling lousy with a cold that has lingered a little too long. Some days felt ok and some days were low on energy.

I managed to get a few workouts in even though I have not been 100%. I really hope to kick this cold soon and get back to a regular schedule. As I write this, I hardly have a voice and I can say with certainty that my tween and teen are probably enjoying me not nagging at them. :)

Here is recap of my past week. I did my best to keep a sunny outlook and positive vibes even though I was not at my best. May this creepy crud leave soon.

Sunday

I started out the day and week with my friend, Taryn. We anticipated colder temps but enjoyed the milder weather for this run. It was a beautiful and sunny morning. During our run, we encountered a few detours which made us see new areas which is always fun.

Monday and Tuesday

So Sunday night as I watched the Oscars, my body just shut down. I went from feeling ok to not at all. On Monday and Tuesday, I was couch surfing like it was my job. I did my best to rest, but in true Stephanie fashion, I had to be somewhat productive so I made good use of the time by reading and competing online course work for a certification.

Wednesday

Well, I thought I was better. I went to work and then taught my LIFT class. It may have been too much as I kind of went downhill again. Oops!! Nonetheless, the class was fun. Here is our playlist.

Our workout in class had some of these moves:

Round 1- Closed shoulder press for 1 minute.

Curtsy lunge for 1 minute

Plank with knee drops (keeping upper body in place, just lowering the knees to ground and up) for 1 minute. (Repeat the above 3 x)

Round 2- Reverse chest fly for 1 minute.

Squat with a ball between knees for 1 minute.

Scissor kicked for 1 minutes (repeat these exercises 3 x).

Thursday

I hit the gym since it was pouring and did a few miles on the treadmill. They were slow as I did not want to push it since I still did not feel great.

Friday

Had a nice little 45 minute ride on the bike. Good to get the legs moving.

Saturday

Well today was a rest day but did enjoy some pretty outdoor time in Maryland with the family.

Walking in a winter wonderland…..

Wishing all of you a healthy week. I am hoping to feeling 100% very soon. What do you do when you are sick? How soon do you get back to your normal routine? Do you wait until you are completely better before getting started?

I am linking up with Kim and Deb for the Weekly Run Down.
